Abstract

Soybean is a substitute food commodity after rice and corn which has various types of processed foods and drinks. The increase population growth in Indonesia cannot be offset by the low productivity in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the decline in soybean production is caused by the decrease in land area which is the main factor of soybean production in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence soybean production in Indonesia. This will show that the variables that are very influential on soybean production in Indonesia. This study uses secondary data and analysis techniques in the form of multiple linear regression analysis with computer assist program SPSS . For the dependent variable in this study is Soybean Production. Meanwhile, the independent variables in this study are the price of local soybeans, the price of imported soybeans, soybean consumption, land area, and the price of green beans. The test results in this study indicate that simultaneously all independent variables significantly affect the dependent variable with the results of the F table (25,626) > F arithmetic (3,69). While partially, the price of local soybean, the price of imported soybean, soybean consumption level, and the price of green beans did not significantly influence soybean production with a significant value of the price of local soybean (0,453), the price of imported soybean (0,696), soybean consumption level ( 0,251), the price of green bean (0,075). Only land area has a significant influence on soybean production with a significant value of 0,000. Keywords : Soybean Production, Soybean Prices, Soybean Consumption Level, Land Area
