Abstract

Investment is an activity to raise a number of funds at this time with the hope of obtaining future profits. After the Covid-19 pandemic, people have changed their behavior in managing their finances. One of them is investing in the capital market through stock and mutual fund products. Mutual funds are a type of investment that is favored by the public, especially young people such as students because the risks are not too big and they are easy to learn. Along with the times, many mutual fund applications have emerged to make it easier for people to invest. The Seeds application is a mutual fund investment fintech application that is present in Indonesia which aims to help novice investors start investing easily and safely. With the convenience of investing through the application, it is felt to increase public interest, especially students in carrying out investment activities in managing their finances. This study aims to analyze interest in investment by looking at the effect of financial literacy, perceived convenience, perceived risk and perceived return on investment interest through the application of mutual fund seeds in students of the Faculty of Economics and Business UPN "Veteran" East Java. The population in this study were students of the Faculty of Economics and Business UPN "Veteran" East Java class of 2019 - 2022. The sampling technique used was stratified random sampling with 100 respondents who were selected as samples. The questionnaire method is a method for collecting data in this study. This research data analysis technique uses PLS. The results of the study show that financial literacy has a significant effect on investment intention, perceived convenience has a significant effect on investment intention, and perceived risk has a significant effect on investment intention. Meanwhile, the perceived return has no significant effect on investment interest. Keywords: Financial Literacy; Perceived Ease of Use; Perceived Risk; Perceived Return; Investment Interest
