Abstract

The coffee commodity is one of the people's main sources of income; coffee is a mainstay of export commodities and a source of foreign exchange earnings, but export volumes continue to fluctuate, resulting in an imbalance between demand and supply of coffee commodities on world markets. Therefore, it is necessary to know the factors that affect the volume fluctuation of Indonesian coffee exports in the international market. The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors that influenced the volume of coffee exports on the international market in 1996–2020. Data collection uses time series data with a period of 25 years starting from 1996 to 2020. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression using SPSS software, with independent variables namely coffee production (X1), domestic coffee prices (X2), international coffee prices (X3), the rupiah exchange rate against the dollar (X4), land area (X5), and domestic consumption (X6), and the dependent variable namely the volume of coffee exports (Y). The results showed that the factors that had a positive effect on the volume of coffee exports in Indonesia were Indonesian coffee production and the rupiah exchange rate against the dollar, while domestic coffee prices, land area, and domestic consumption had a negative effect on the volume of coffee exports in Indonesia and had no effect on coffee exports Indonesia is the international coffee price. With a significance level (α) of 5%,
