Abstract

This anhydrous Disodium phosphate factory is produced using a crystallization process using the Swenson Walker Crystallizer type. The raw materials are 75% phosphoric acid (H3PO4) and 30% sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) which are reacted in the reactor at 85ºC and 1 atm pressure. The reaction will produce the main product in the form of Disodium phosphate (Na2HPO4) and a side product in the form of carbon dioxide. The Disodium phosphate solution is then concentrated in a Vaccum Evaporator to become a saturated solution. The crystallization process occurs under supersaturated conditions in the Crystallizer at a temperature of 60ºC using a cooling crystallization type. The solid crystals are then separated using a centrifuge and dried using a rotary dryer. The product in the form of dry Na2HPO4 is uniform in size and pulverized using a ball mill before packing. The form of company chosen for the implementation of the production of anhydrous Disodium phosphate is a Limited Liability Company (PT) so that it is hoped that it will be easy to obtain capital by selling shares to the public, legal entities and individuals.
