Abstract

Pacitan sweet orange or Pacitan baby orange (East Java) has the advantage of being able to adapt well in various regions. The advantages of cuttings is maintain the superior properties of their parents, economical, and easy to apply. This study aims to obtain the right concentration of IBA hormone and duration of soaking to increase the percentage of success of Pacitan sweet orange cuttings. This research is a factorial experiment arranged using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 2 factors. The first factor is the concentration of the IBA hormone, consisting of 3 levels: K1 = 100 ppm, K2 = 300 ppm, and K3 = 500 ppm. The second factor is the duration of soaking, consisting of 3 levels: L1 = 12 hours, L2 = 24 hours, and L3 = 36 hours. Obtained 9 treatment combinations and compared with the control, repeated 3 times. The results showed that there was an interaction between the concentration of IBA hormone and the duration of soaking. The best combination K3L1 against the number of shoots (2.22). The best combination K1L3 to the percentage of sprouting cuttings (53.33%). The best combination K3L2 for shoot height (3.89 cm), number of leaves (2.00), and root length (4.27 cm).
