Abstract

Sampang is a city in Madura that has the potential for a salt pond business. Salinity is the degree of saltiness or dissolved salt content in water. The degree of acidity or pH is the number of H+ ions present in the water system or commonly known as the level of acidity. The method used in this study is remote sensing with Landsat 8 Satellite Imagery data processing. It is hoped that this research will be able to determine the correlation of salinity with groundwater pH and also as a data base for further research, as well as providing information on the utilization of infrastructure facilities in Sampang Regency. such as port construction, bridge construction so as to improve infrastructure development that is not easily corroded. The data used from Landsat 8 satellite imagery is data for 2020-2022, with band_2, band_3, band_4 wavelengths. The results of the analysis and discussion of satellite imagery data conclude that the best data is the 2022 imagery. For salinity with the band_3 wavelength (red color), the logarithmic equation is y = 21.018ln(x) + 69.941 with a value of R2 = 0.0799 which has a strong negative correlation. The best analysis results for pH with wavelength band_4 logarithmic equation with the algorithm model y = 0.4766ln(x) + 7.8172 and the value of R2 = 0.2161 which has a moderate negative correlation. The correlation between salinity and pH has an algorithm model from the scatter graph, namely y = 0.022x + 6.248, the results of the comparison of the correlation values obtained are 0.98396932405375 which has a very strong positive correlation. The results of this study indicate that the level of insitu salinity with image and insitu pH with image has a significant difference. The results for the correlation of salinity and pH did not have a significant difference.
