Abstract

Regional economic growth could be sourced from increasing capital through investment and improving the quality and quantity of labor growth of the workforce and increasing knowledge and skills as well as technological improvements in the production process. Surabaya City was listed as the city with the second-highest investment realization achievement in Indonesia which reached Rp. 29.22 trillion in 2021 which reached Rp. 2.85 trillion related to Foreign Investment which had five leading sectors, namely as follows: Warehouse Transportation and Telecommunication;Trade and Repair; Hotels and Restaurants; Industrial Estate and Office Housing; Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry. The increase rate during the COVID-19 pandemic was hampered, resulting in a decrease in Foreign Investment and Domestic Investment and the target achievement was only 5%. This study analyze the effect of investment, inflation, and labor absorption on economic growth in Surabaya City. This research used quantitative research with an explanatory study design.
