Abstract
The agricultural sector has faced many problems to date. However, the agricultural sector is still able to contribute to GDP, although only slightly. The purpose of this study is to analyze the forward and backward linkages of the agricultural sector and analyze the output multiplier and income multiplier of the agricultural sector and other economic sectors (8 sectors) in the Indonesian economy based on the 2016 Indonesia Input-Output Table. Analyzed using linkage analysis and analysis multiplier. The data used is the 2016 Indonesia Input-Output Table of Domestic Transactions Based on Producer Prices (17 business fields). Of the 17 sectors, 9 sectors are directly related to the agricultural sector from the perspective of agribusiness as a system. The results showed that 1) The forward linkage value of the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector is 0.462965 and the backward linkage value of the agriculture, forestry, and fishery sector is 0.195607. 2) The largest output multiplier value is the transportation and warehousing sector of 1.7852. 3) The largest income multiplier value is the financial services and insurance sector of 0.4271. It can be concluded that the agricultural sector, its contribution, and its role in the Indonesian economy are not too large. Keywords: the agricultural sector, contribution, role, Indonesian economy
