Abstract
One of the way for the economic development of a region is the application of agropolitan which has been implemented since 2005 in Tulungagung Regency to improve the agricultural sector, but in practice it has experienced negative growth from the agricultural sector. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the agropolitan program in Tulungagung Regency and to analyze the impact of agropolitan development on the regional economy in Tulungagung Regency. This study uses a qualitative analysis method that is used to analyze the implemented implementation program. Meanwhile, to analyze the impact is to use shift share analysis. There are 3 farmer groups studied. Results of research. shows that the farm machine provision program in general farmers receive benefits from this program. Then, from the farmer group processing activity program, no further efforts have been made. Then from the activity of providing technical training only one group felt the impact. While the other 2 groups did not feel the impact of this program and felt they needed material that was appropriate to their problems. In analyzing the impact, it shows several interpretations, namely the aggregate coefficient has a positive value of 3.08 then the differential component has a positive value of 1.29. This means that the agricultural sector has competitiveness for the economy of Tulungagung district. From the calculation of the proportional difference, it shows that there is a positive value indicating that the agricultural development program, namely agropolitan, is running well, indicated by a value of 0.72. And the last is the aggregate shift component which has a positive value. With a shift share analysis of 2.01, it indicates that the agricultural sector in Tulungagung Regency is progressing with agricultural development efforts, namely agropolitan development that is going well, marked by several supporting activities running
