Abstract

Poor water quality will affect the usability, carrying capacity and capacity of the river. Rivers have very high spatial and time variability, so river modeling is required in conducting river analysis. The river to be analyzed is located in Cirebon district, namely the Cipager river. In this study, the Qual2Kw application was used as an application that can model rivers. The steps in the QUAL2Kw method are segment determination, sampling, laboratory testing, hydraulic data analysis, water quality, pollutant sources, simulation determination, running the QUAL2Kw program and calculating the pollution load capacity. River water quality parameters used in the QUAL2Kw application in this study were PH, temperature, DO, TSS, Ammonia, and Phosphate. The application of the QUAL2Kw method, in evaluating the Cipager river with 3 simulations produces river pollution loads. After getting the pollution load value, the capacity calculation can be carried out. This study produced two time periods for the capacity of the Cipager river, the first is the capacity for the pollution load of the Cipager river for 2022, for the highest capacity for 2022 the TSS parameter is in segment B (downstream research) of 372.53 kg/day , the DO parameter is in segment A – 1 of -29.86 kg/day, the ammoniac parameter is in segment A – 1 of 3.43 kg/day, the phosphate parameter is in segment B (downstream of the study). The second is the predicted capacity for carrying pollution load for 2026, for the highest capacity for pollution load in 2026 the TSS parameter is in segment B (downstream research) with a capacity of 311.27 kg/day, for the DO parameter the highest carrying capacity is in segment A-1 which has a pollution load capacity of -28.41 kg/day, for the ammoniac parameter the highest capacity is in segment A – 1 which has a pollution load capacity of 3.27 kg/day, for the phosphate parameter the carrying capacity The highest pollution load is in segment B (downstream research) of 1.58 kg/day.
