Abstract

Related to and development of a company today is inseparable from the role of investors in investing in the capital market, so the company will get capital to generate profits. The amount of profit the company makes will be one of the factors that will result in the company paying dividends. Dividend policy becomes a matter that is highly considered for investors and companies. For investors, the purpose of the funds invested is to benefit from investments that are dividends. However, the distribution of dividends is less by management because it will reduce management utilities. Therefore there are often differences in interests between shares and company management. Related to this, research needs to be done to be able to understand the factors that influence dividend policy. This study uses secondary data in the form of a summary of company performance reports, namely the Indonesia Capital Market Directory (ICMD). The object of research is the Dividend Payout Ratio of Consumption Goods Industry Sector Companies. This study has a population of 50 companies with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistical analysis and multiple linear regression analysis techniques. Hypothesis testing using the F test and t test. The results of the simultaneous test analysis (Test F), states that the Current Ratio (CR) (X1), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) (X2), Firm Size (X3) and Return on Asset (ROA) (X4 ) variables have significant effects to the Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) of the Consumer Goods Industry Sector Company on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) for the 2016-2018 period. Partially noted that CR, Firm Size, and ROA have positive and significant effect on the DPR. DER has no effect on the DPR. Keywords : Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Firm Size, Return on Asset (ROA), Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR
