Abstract

Surabaya City is a city located in East Java Province. The area of ​​the city of Surabaya is ± 326.81 km2, with a population of 2,904,751 people (Central Bureau of Statistics for the City of Surabaya). The rapid growth of traffic in this area has resulted in congestion at several points in the city of Surabaya. This research was conducted in the Central Surabaya area because there are a number of road points where traffic jams often occur. The existence of this traffic density also causes changes in temperature and air pressure in the dense area. The purpose of this study was to determine the value of the mapping of Temperature and Air Pressure on Vehicle Density in the Central Surabaya Region by examining the values ​​of Degrees of Saturation and Vehicle Volume using a database in the form of a Geographic Information System (GIS). Data collection was in the form of Vehicle Volume data, Effective Road width, Temperature and Air Pressure data, as well as population data for 2021 and the RBI map of Central Surabaya City, which was then mapped using ArcGis software. From the calculation results for the 5 road segments, it is known that the highest vehicle volume is on the Urip Sumoharjo road segment of 2565.28 pcu/hour in the morning and 4623.0 pcu/hour in the afternoon, and also on the Basuki Rahmat road segment. of 2374.20 pcu/hour in the morning and 4578.50 pcu/hour in the afternoon. The degree of saturation on the Urip Sumoharjo road segment has the highest value of 2.35 in the morning and 4.54 in the afternoon. And the values ​​for the highest temperature and air pressure in the 5 road segments, are found in the Pandegiling road segment in the morning with a temperature of 32.5º; humidity 0.66; CO2 1595.83 ppm, and on the Urip Sumoharjo road segment the temperature is 35º; humidity 0.49; CO2 1002.67 ppm in the afternoon.
